About

Therapy is about helping you move forward with life.

Finding a safe place to unpack your stuff can allow you to move forward in your life. Wanting to figure out what to keep, and what to leave behind; what has worked, and what hasn’t. We meet in my office, and we travel together on this journey in this vehicle called therapy. Though you may be seeking me out, I’m the one who meets you where you are.

Our journey doesn’t have to be long. I often tell my clients that I don’t want to see them for the rest of their lives–not because I don’t like them, but because I believe that when you do your work, you will be equipped with the tools needed to navigate through your life better. Also, my door is open if you ever need to return, because, well, life can be trifling like that.

I fully show up to each session actively listening, making sure you feel heard. I truly don’t want to miss you, but sometimes I may fail. When that happens, I ask for grace. Nothing is perfect on this side of heaven and that includes therapists.

Will we be a good fit? I don’t know. Maybe. The most important thing is that you don’t waste your time with a therapist that isn’t. This is your wellness that we are talking about! Not connecting with your therapist will impede the work that you desire and need to do. I value our work together, and I want to see you reach your goals.

About Me

Because of my own personal journey, I can relate to multiple backgrounds and experiences. Being an immigrant has its perks. As a Haitian woman who came to the United States as a young girl, I am privileged in having a unique perspective.

I am open to understanding one’s culture and its role in one’s life, seeing things from various points of view and celebrating differences. I’m intuitive, which helps me to highlight client blind spots and areas of growth.

I am an Identity-Truth expert! My goal is to help individuals love the skin they’re in! So you get to experience my authentic self. Anything else would be hypocritical. I create a safe place where the truth is provided in love, with no judgment, but empathy and accountability being paramount. I take a pragmatic approach, coupled with humor because sometimes you just have laugh!

Mental health includes everything that makes up your well-being: your psychological, mental, spiritual, and social well-being. It’s life and how you deal with it.

Yes, I can help you with better coping skills, managing stress, processing grief, and improving relationships; but those are just some results that come from the chief work that I do with you: Connecting you to your story, owning your voice, better management of your emotions, and forming healthier boundaries. It is in this way you will become a well being.

On a more personal note, I dig my husband, enjoy my kids (for the most part), and value relationships. My name means ‘joy’ in Arabic; I try to embody that every day.
